WHAT IS A CHALLENGE COIN?

A challenge coin is a coin or medallion, bearing an organization's insignia or emblem and carried by the organization's members. Traditionally, they are given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. In addition, they are also collected by service members.

Military coins are used to raise funds for projects and events, to memorialize a serving unit, to commemorate special occasions and operations, to recognize participation or achievement, and to reward unit members, senior officials or retiring members.

Challenge coins are a tradition of awarding excellence.

Army challenge coins

THE PERFECT PLACE TO MAKE THE BEST ARMY CHALLENGE COINS.

The Second Continental Congress founded the Army in 1775; it is the oldest service of the United States military. The Army was originally formed to protect the freedom of the first 13 colonies, the Army has evolved and grown from this small militia force into the world's most premier fighting force.

Being able to successfully organize, equip, and train its forces to achieve this goal is a feat and often the units and leaders are recognized with challenge coins. Army coins are made to celebrate and award the completion of training, a change in rank, and are some of U.S. DOD Coins most common military coin requests. We have also seen custom army coins used to mark specific events or periods in order to commemorate the companies, units, and platoons that served during these events and give them something both memorable and tangible that can last a lifetime.

Airforce header

THE U.S. AIR FORCE IS THE WORLD’S PREEMINENT FORCE IN AIR, SPACE AND CYBERSPACE.

The Army Air Forces (AAF) were transferred from the Department of the Army (formerly the War Department) to the Department of the Air Force and established as the United States Air Force (USAF) by the National Security Act of 1947.

As such, The United States Air Force is the branch of innovation and dominance. For some time their missions reached anywhere on the earth, across the skies and into the stars. Many Air Force Commanders create custom Air Force challenge coins to firmly mint the dedication to service that their unit, battalion and mission have displayed in carrying out their duties.

Coast Guard icon

A Maritime Law Enforcement Mission

In times of peace, the Coast Guard operates as part of the Department of Homeland Security, enforcing the nation's laws at sea, protecting the marine environment, guarding the nation's vast coastline and ports, and performing vital life saving missions.

Whether they’re protecting our nation’s ports, conducting search and rescue missions or stopping illegal drug smugglers in their tracks, members of the U.S. Coast Guard (sometimes called “Coasties”) do a surprising number of tasks that are crucial to keeping U.S. waterways safe, and we have made some of the nicest coins produced for our coasties.

Marines icon

The Few. The Proud.

The Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775, when the Continental Congress ordered that two battalions of Marines be raised for service as landing forces with the fleet. Marines have participated in all wars of the United States, being in most instances first, or among the first, to fight. In addition, Marines have executed more than 300 landings on foreign shores and served in every major U.S. naval action since 1775.

Today, there are more than 200,000 active-duty and reserve Marines, divided into four divisions stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Camp Pendleton, California; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Okinawa, Japan. Each division has one or more expeditionary units, ready to launch major operations anywhere in the world on two weeks’ notice. The motto of the service is Semper Fidelis, meaning “Always Faithful” in Latin.

It is pleasure and honor to make "Devil Dog" coins for our fearless US Marines. They are the embodiment of the eternal and collective commitment to the success of our battles, the progress of our Nation, and the steadfast loyalty to fellow Marines they fight alongside.
