Veteran Challenge Coins

United States Veterans are some of the bravest and most selfless people in our country and a very popular custom challenge coin.

The VFW provides support for veterans and their families, advocates for veteran's rights, and helps veterans transition back to civilian life. The VFW also runs a number of programs to support veterans, such as the VFW Foundation, which provides financial assistance to veterans in need.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization that advocates for policies and provides support to veterans and active-duty service members who have been injured in the line of duty. The organization offers a variety of services, including financial assistance, mental health counseling, and job training programs.

The Wounded Warrior Project was founded in 2003, by a group of veterans who wanted to help their fellow service members transition back to civilian life. The organization has grown significantly since then, and now provides support to more than 50,000 warriors and their families each year. The Wounded Warrior Project is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, and has offices in 15 other states.

Prisoners of war (POWs) are servicemen and women who have been captured and are being held by an enemy. There are many reasons why people become POWs. Sometimes, they are captured during battle or recovered wounded from the battlefield by the enemy. Other times, they may be taken hostage or arrested.

Not only have these brave individuals endured great hardship and suffering, but they also helped to keep the morale of their fellow prisoners high in captivity. When everyday survival is a goal in itself, no small happiness is taken for granted.

Some POWs are able to escape and return to their units and home countries. Others are not as fortunate and spend the rest of their lives in captivity. The experience of being a POW is traumatic and many POWs suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health problems.

The Veterans Administration exists to help veterans transition back into civilian life. The VA offers a variety of services to veterans, including job training, counseling, and healthcare. The VA also provides benefits to veterans' families.

- Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA): The IAVA is a newer veterans organization that focuses on helping veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. They offer a variety of programs and services, including mental health support, employment assistance, and benefits help.

- Military Veterans Advocacy (MVA): The MVA is a non-profit organization that advocates for veteran causes. They also provide education and resources on a variety of veteran topics.
